CONGRATS to the Ennis High School Symphonic I and Symphonic II Bands who both earned Division 1 (Superior) ratings and Outstanding in Class awards for their performance at The Gulf Coast Showcase of Music in South Padre.  Students who received awards for their Individual Outstanding  Performances are Emily Pool, Laura Seale and Bailey Betik. Congratulations again to the Ennis High School Band for recently receiving unanimous first division superior ratings from the judging panel at the UIL Marching Contest.  This marks the 33rd consecutive UIL first division rating and 53rd first division rating in 54 attempts at UIL competition. Congratulations to the Ennis Junior High School band program for being selected as a Commended Winner by the National Wind Band Honors Project, a competition among the best bands in the nation. Also Congratulations to the Ennis JH Wind Ensemble and Symphonic 1 bands who both earned Division 1 (Superior) ratings at the Peak Music Festival held at the Murchison Center for the Performing Arts on the Campus of the University of North Texas. Congratulations to the EISD Sixth Grade Band who won two trophies May 1st at the Sandy Lake Band Festival in Carrollton - one for its 1st Division (Superior) rating and the other for being the day's top band in its category.
